BIAvi Identifies 4 Visceral Risk Types

Please, join our list!

Do you know whether the portion of visceral fat deep in your belly is o.k., or whether or not it poses a severe risk to your health? We have discovered 4 types of metabolic health risks during our development and field evaluation with renowned scientists and researchers like Prof. Henry Schulz and his team at Technical University of Chemnitz.

The 4 metabolic risk types

visceral fat risk types

We have known for a long time that a number of people have a normal Body Mass Index (BMI), but suffer from a large amount of visceral fat in their abdomen. Before BIAvi, it was nearly impossible to identify or measure visceral fat which leads to many health concerns. The implications should be clear; with BIAvi we can identify visceral fat early and ultimately reduce the risks of illnesses directly linked to visceral fat such as diabetes, obesity, impotence, and heart disease. Not only will this help reduce our risk of future health problems, but it will also reduce our medical expenses over the years.

A point of interest for many, is that medical professionals recognize that one can have a “normal” BMI yet have an unhealthy visceral fat amount. So you can look great on the outside, but a possible disaster on the inside.

On the other hand, a person who is “obese” on the BMI chart but lacks a large amount of visceral fat has good reason to rest at ease. Take a look at the graphic above, it is the result of Joerg’s work coupled with scientific research previously published (Rexford & Mitchell, The Health Risk of Obesity – Better Metrics Imperative, Science 2013).
